committe為集合名詞。
集合名詞顧名思義，即代表"一組特定人物全部集合起來"的名詞。
有個特色：
若視為"一個整體"時：視為單數
若視為"所有個體的總和"：視為複數
比較下面兩例：
The new committee was formed. 委員會（一個整體，視為單數）
The new committee were unable to make the decision. 委員們 (所有個體總和，視為複數)
但一般說來，集合名詞的使用上在美式英文和英式英文使用仍有所偏好：
The committee has made the decision. (美式偏好視為單數)
The committee have made the decision. (英式偏好視為複數)
